Many years ago my husband took me to Brighton on his birthday and we passed this smokehouse. I couldn’t imagine what a "hot" smoked fish sandwich could taste like, so decided to eat fresh doughnuts on the pier.
I went back in 2016 to celebrate another birthday, and I absolutely loved the hot mackerel roll and the fish soup. It was so fresh, so delicious – just the most atmospheric way to eat freshly smoked fish
